CarRX Privacy Policy

1. What information do you collect and how do you use it?

We collect and store information about the vehicle you use CarRX with. We collect the make/model/year of your vehicle, your car's mileage, and information from certain vehicle sensors to help us understand what is going on with your car. We also collect diagnostic trouble codes from your cars on-board computer to help explain why your car's check engine light came on.

2. How do you collect the information?

We collect the above information from your car's on-board computer. The CarRX sensor connects to this computer and transmits the information via Bluetooth to your phone. The information is then securely transmitted to our servers to protect your identity and your information.

3. What control do users have over their personal data?

Your data is yours. If you would like to have it removed from our servers, just ask. We can't provide much benefit to you without it, but it is your choice.

4. How is information shared?

We do not share your personal information except in the limited circumstances described below.

Information from the app such as information collected about your vehicle, requested appointments, and your contact information is shared with the automotive service provider you belong to. The automotive service provider may contact you through the app or directly to assist you in resolving problems with your vehicle.

We transfer information to our corporate affiliates, service providers, and other partners who process it for us, based on our instructions, and in compliance with this policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. These partners provide us with services globally, including for customer support, information technology, payments, sales, marketing, data analysis, research, and surveys.

5. How do you protect users' information?

We work hard to keep your data safe. We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical controls to maintain the security of your data. This includes using Transport Layer Security ("TLS") to encrypt all of our Services. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide. If you have a security-related concern, please contact Customer Support.
